India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra surprised everyone with the wedding pictures through a post on Instagram. has announced that he is getting married. He made the announcement on Sunday through his social media handle and shared pictures from his wedding on Instagram. Neeraj tied the knot with Himani and marked new chapter of his life.
Neeraj Chopra, who hails from the village of Khandra in Panipat, surprised everyone by secretly getting married. Neeraj shared wedding photos on his social media account on Sunday evening. His uncle, Bhim Singh, revealed that Neeraj’s wedding took place with Himani. As per reports, the intimate wedding function took place in Himachal in the presence of nearly 50 close family members from both side.
In a post on Instagram, Neeraj shared pictures from his wedding. He wrote in the caption, “Started new chapter of life with my family. 🙏 Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after. Neeraj ♥️ Himani.”
Who is Himani?
As per Neeraj’s uncle Bhim further, the wedding was held in India and the couple has left for their honeymoon. Himani is currently studying in the United States. She is pursuing a degree in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She is a former student of Miranda House, Delhi, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education.
Neeraj’s wife Himani Mor is a tennis player. According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani had a top national ranking of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. She started participating in AITA events in 2018.
Neeraj Chopra recently won a silver medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics with a throw of 89.45 meters. Neeraj finished second, while Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal with a throw of 92.97 meters. Neeraj had won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
