Winter Holidays in Haryana Schools from January 1 to 15, notification soon

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has announced winter holidays in schools. These holidays will be from 1 to 15 January. The holidays will apply to all government and private schools. State Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has confirmed this.

He said that the department will soon issue a notification regarding this. This decision has been taken in view of the cold in the state. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there will be dry cold in the state in the coming days.

Due to rain and cold winds from the mountains, there is a continuous fall in day and night temperatures. A huge drop in night temperature is being seen this season. So far the mercury has reached 0.6 degrees.

In Haryana, holidays in government schools were extended in the year 2023 due to cold. The Education Department had issued orders to extend holidays for children up to class III till January 20. The decision on holidays for children of classes IV and V was left to the DC. However, it was made mandatory for children from class VI to XII to come to school regularly from January 16. The school timings for government as well as private-aided schools were changed from 10 am to 4 pm.

Every year, the government announces 15 days of winter holidays. The Haryana government issues a letter in this regard and announces winter holidays. According to the government notification, all government and private schools will have holidays as per the schedule. All schools will remain closed for 15 days.
