A young woman committed suicide by hanging herself in the employee quarters of Kurukshetra University. Her body was found hanging from an iron pipe in the bathroom. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The woman was a teacher in Chetna NGO and taught children in the city’s Karna Colony.
According to the KUK police station, the deceased has been identified as Suman Devi. When the family went to the bathroom at around 8:30 in the morning, Suman’s body was found hanging on a rope made of cloth on an iron pipe. The family immediately took her down from the noose and took her to LNJP hospital. Here the doctors examined and declared Suman dead.
On the other hand, the police registered an accidental case under section 194 of BNS on the basis of the statement of the family and handed over the body to the family after postmortem. According to the family, Suman had no quarrel or enmity with anyone. They do not know why Suman took such a step.
According to the family, Suman did not want to get married. She was strongly against marriage. On the other hand, Third Gate Chowki Incharge Vinod Kumar says that Suman was unmarried. There is no evidence of any pressure from the family to get married. The police called the forensic team from the spot and took samples. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
