Youth swept away in canal in Hisar, search continues

Hisar: A youth who went to bathe with his friends in a canal near the village Sandlana under Narnaund police station in the Hisar district of Haryana was swept away by the strong current of water. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Khedi Chaupata police post-in-charge Sub Inspector Anil Kumar reached the spot. The villagers are searching for the youth in the canal on their level, but no trace of the youth has been found yet.

According to the information, 20-year-old Sagar, a resident of Sandlana, was taking coaching for a government job in Hisar. On Saturday, when he was on holiday, he went to bathe with his friends in the Hisar-Barwala branch canal. As soon as he jumped into the canal to bathe, a youth drowned in the canal due to the high flow of water. While his other friends somehow came out, there was no trace of their friend Sagar.

When he was not found, even for some time, they informed Sagar’s family about the incident. After this, the family and other villagers reached the Hisar Barwala branch canal and started looking for Sagar by getting into the canal. The administration has also been asked to reduce the amount of water in the canal. The water is also gradually decreasing.

Right now, the villagers are busy searching for Sagar. The administration has not yet called divers to the spot.

Khedi Chaupata, police post in-charge Anil Kumar said that Sagar had gone to the canal to take a bath with his friends. While bathing, Sagar was swept away by the strong current of water. Efforts are being made to find him. The administration has also been asked to reduce the amount of water in the canal.
