Haryana: YouTuber influencer Bobby Kataria was produced in court today after three days of remand. From where he was sent to judicial custody. During police remand, accused Bobby revealed in interrogation that he puts advertisements on online social media and tempts people to get jobs abroad.
According to Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep, Bobby has opened offices in Sikar, Rajasthan, Greater Faridabad and Nabha in Punjab along with Gurugram. Bobby had sent 33 people abroad so far. Out of which 12 were sent to Armenia, 2 to Singapore, 4 to Bangkok, 3 to Canada and 12 to Laos. Out of the people sent to Laos, 5 people have returned. 7 people are still in Laos.
When someone contacts him to go abroad, he takes him into confidence and gives him the false hope of sending him abroad and getting him a job. In return, he also charges a good amount.
According to the police spokesperson, when the police reached the bottom of this matter, other people who were cheated by Bobby in the name of sending them abroad also came in contact with Gurugram police. After their complaint, action is also being taken on their complaint.
So far, the police have recovered cash worth 20 lakh rupees, 4 mobiles and related documents from Bobby’s possession. During police remand, 9 passports and 3 other mobile phones have been recovered from the accused’s possession.
