Kinnaur, April 14: Preparations for the state-level Himachal Day celebrations are in their final stages at Reckong Peo, the headquarters of Kinnaur a tribal district in Himachal Pradesh. The event is scheduled to take place on April 15 at the sports ground in Reckong Peo.
Revenue Minister Inspects the Venue
Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, along with District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma and Superintendent of Police Sushil Sharma, inspected the venue. They reviewed all preparations including security arrangements, seating logistics and protocol to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event. A full-dress rehearsal was held at the sports ground on Tuesday, featuring a march-past by various contingents.
Major Announcements Expected for Tribal Region Development
The rhythmic marching of the personnel, set to the tunes of the band, created a patriotic atmosphere. With the state-level event being hosted in Reckong Peo, the residents of Kinnaur are hopeful of receiving significant announcements from the Chief Minister.
State-Level Parade to be the Main Attraction
According to DC Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma, the highlight of the ceremony will be the state-level parade, in which contingents from various security forces will participate. The event will also offer a glimpse into the rich culture of Himachal Pradesh; cultural troupes from two to three other districts are set to perform alongside local artists from Kinnaur.
Government Departments to Set Up Stalls
Various government departments will set up special stalls to showcase their achievements and ongoing schemes. The administration has ensured robust arrangements for security and traffic management throughout the duration of the ceremony. Its objective is to protect local residents and visitors from any inconvenience.
