Mandi: A tragic road accident occurred early Sunday morning in the Saraj assembly constituency area of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, when a jeep plunged into a deep ravine on the Lambathach-Kalhani road around 4 a.m.
Three young men were killed, and another was seriously injured in the accident.
Jeep Lost Control, Vehicle Completely Damaged
According to police reports, the jeep bearing number HP-65-5148 lost control and fell into a deep ditch approximately six kilometers from Lambathach. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely destroyed. Two young men died at the scene, while a third succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
The seriously injured, identified as 18-year-old Kushal, is undergoing treatment at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College.

All victims, including the injured youth, are residents of Kelodhar and surrounding villages in the Saraj area.
Cause of Accident Under Investigation
Police and local residents conducted rescue operations immediately after being informed. The bodies were recovered from the ravine and sent for post-mortem examination.
Vinod Kumar confirmed the accident and stated that authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause. It remains unclear where the youths were traveling so early in the morning.
Authorities have urged caution on hilly roads and emphasized strict adherence to road safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
