2-Storey House gutted in Massive fire in Shimla

A house caught fire last night in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. A two-storey house of a family was completely burnt to ashes due to a massive fire in Mastot village of Kloti Panchayat of Chidgaon tehsil of Rohru subdivision.

The owner of the house Kalam Singh had to take shelter in a relative’s house in the village along with his two sons. Fortunately, There was no loss of life in the incident. As soon as the fire was reported, the fire brigade team reached the spot and after a lot of hard work the fire was controlled. However, by then the house was completely burnt. The reasons for the fire have not been known yet.

The incident occurred around 9 pm late at night. The fire suddenly broke out in Kalam Singh’s house and within no time this fire spread to the entire house, after which the local people informed the fire brigade. People nearby also made effort on their own to control the fire.

The loss due to the fire is estimated to be in lakhs. Now the administration will visit the spot and assess the damage done by fire.
