Chamba, April 27: A 32-year-old youth died in an accident in the Rajera area of Chamba district. He fell into a deep ditch while returning home. He died before he could be taken to the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Lovely Kumar. He has left behind three small children and other family members. He was the sole earning member of the family.
According to the information, Lovely Kumar was returning from work to his village, Banei, late on Saturday night. Some distance from his house, his feet slipped in the dark and he fell into a deep ditch. He died on the spot in the accident.
As soon as the incident was reported, the local people reached the spot and took the youth to the Medical College Chamba, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased has three sons, the eldest of whom is 9 years old.
The police have handed over the body to the family after conducting the post-mortem. An investigation into the cause of the accident has been started. There is a wave of mourning in the entire village due to the untimely death of the youth.
