Shimla: Shimla police arrested 6 accused of chitta smuggler gang ‘Radhe Gang’ from Rampur last evening. 2 accused of this gang were arrested on 17th October with about 47 grams of Heroin (Chitta). After interrogating them, police arrested 6 more accused.
Police suspect that more arrest can be made in the coming days as interrogation is going on. The 6 arrested accused will be produced in court today for police remand. So far 8 smugglers of Radhe Gang have been arrested.
According to police, members of the Radhe Gang used to bring chitta from Punjab and supply it to Rampur of Shimla district. Police have achieved great success by busting this gang. 2 accused belong to the Kullu district and 4 others belong to Shimla district.
The police have arrested Chitta smugglers Rajesh Khanna (43) Rampur, Dharm Sain (35) Nirmand Kullu, Ujjwal Pandit (29) Rampur, Lalit Kumar (36) Rampur, Amit Kumar, Ani Kullu and Dhruv Deshta. The police is interrogating them and other members of the gang are being traced.
Shimla SP Sanjeev Gandhi said that the police have arrested 6 Chitta smugglers. Police assured that Strict action will be taken against those who deal with drugs.
