After kidney transplant bone marrow and stem cell therapy to be available at AIIMS Bilaspur

After kidney transplant, modern medical services related to cancer will soon be started in AIIMS Bilaspur. These will include state-of-the-art techniques like bone marrow transplant, stem cell therapy. There is also a plan to set up a state-of-the-art trauma center at a cost of about Rs 350 crore.

In the review meeting at AIIMS, the Union Health Minister discussed in detail with the officials on the achievements, current projects and future plans of the institute. Many senior leaders and officials including Nadda, MP Anurag Thakur, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, BJP State President Shrikant Sharma, MLAs Randhir Sharma, Jeet Ram Katwal and Trilok Jamwal were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, there was a special discussion on the progress of AIIMS Bilaspur and the improvements being made in health services were reviewed. Nadda said that the progress made by the institute is commendable.

He said that the central government is continuously strengthening health services in Himachal and AIIMS Bilaspur is an excellent example of this. While responding to a question during a press conference at AIIMS, Nadda said that the project of Trauma Centre is in the pipeline.

Let us tell you that the emergency department of AIIMS is falling short. Due to this, the management is preparing a proposal to build a Trauma Centre.
