Chamba authorities issue alert after terrorist attack in Doda region

Shimla: After the terrorist attack in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, a high alert has been issued in the border areas of Chamba district. The police administration has sealed the 216-kilometer border area of Chamba district after the terrorist attack. Police have been deployed at every nook and cranny of the border area of Chamba district, adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, the blockade in the border area has also been increased by the police administration. After the terrorist attack in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, the police have increased patrolling in the border areas of Chamba district.

Every vehicle coming and going from Doda and other border areas is being thoroughly checked. Last Saturday, IG North Zone Dharamshala Abhishek Dullar and SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav, along with the police team, visited the Kihar and Tisa sectors of Chamba district adjoining Jammu and Kashmir and other areas of the border area and took stock of the security arrangements. IG Abhishek Dullaar, along with the police team, inspected the checkpost established in Satrundi-Kalaban, Bairagarh.

The IG has instructed the IRB constables posted in the border area to thoroughly check every vehicle coming and going and increase patrolling. Police vigil has been tightened on the 216-kilometer-long border of Chamba district adjoining Jammu and Kashmir state. IRB jawans posted in the border area are on high alert. On the other hand, SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav says that after the terrorist attack in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, a high alert has been issued in the border area of Chamba district. 216 km of Chamba district adjoining Jammu and Kashmir have been sealed. -HDM
