Chamba: Air service will start on 22nd August between Bharmour and Gaurikund for the holy Manimahesh Yatra in Chamba. It will run till 11th September. During this time, two companies will provide Manimahesh heli taxi service between Bharmour and Gaurikund. This time, two companies participated in the tender process that was invited by the Bharmour subdivision administration for this service. After the minimum bid and negotiation, the fare has been fixed at 3895 rupees per passenger.
Member Secretary of Shri Manimahesh Yatra Trust and ADM Bharmour Kulbir Rana said that during this year’s Manimahesh Yatra, the one-way fare between Bharmour and Gaurikund has been fixed at 3895 rupees per passenger. This fare rate is 605 rupees less than last year. That is, this time the Mani Mahesh pilgrims are going to get air service at a lower fare. If a person wants to get direct air service between Chamba and Gaurikund, then the fare for him has been fixed at Rs 25,000 per passenger.
75 per cent of the Mani Mahesh heli taxi service has been fixed online and 25 per cent offline daily quota booking. This arrangement has been made with the consent of both the companies providing the heli taxi service. The administration said that this time Shri Mani Mahesh Yatra Trust has decided to do online booking from its official website. This decision was taken keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers.
For the Mani Mahesh Yatra, passengers wishing to get air service from Bharmour to Gaurikund or Chamba to Gaurikund can book by visiting the official website of the trust. The administration believes that this time the Mani Mahesh bath is being described as a hot Nahaun (bath), so in such a situation, more devotees are expected to come.
