Shimla, May 13: Drones were seen twice in the sky last night in Dalhousie of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Drones were seen flying in the sky for the first time around 9 pm, and for the second time, drones were seen flying in the sky around 11 pm.
Both times, a blackout was imposed in Dalhousie after the alert from the Air Force. The first time the blackout was imposed was from 9:15 pm to 10 pm. The second time, the local administration received a blackout alert from the Air Force at 11 pm. After this, people in Dalhousie switched off the lights in their homes.
Despite the ceasefire, people got scared for some time due to the blackout. SDM Anil Kumar Bhardwaj said that there was information about a drone flying over Dalhousie. After this, a blackout was done twice.
Drone information in Chamba too
At the same time, a person named Balakram also informed the Chamba police about seeing a drone on the hill. After this, the police was sent to the spot. But till late night it could not be confirmed whether it was a drone or the complainant mistook the star in the sky for a drone, because the complainant said that this light is stable at one place, it can also be a star.
Chamba district shares its borders with Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, the Chamba district administration is already on alert mode. On the other hand, drones were spotted in the sky last night from many areas of the Western Border including Akhnoor, Samba, Jammu of Jammu and Kashmir.
Alert after blast in Hoshiarpur
Explosions also took place in Hoshiarpur in Punjab and drones were seen in Jalandhar. Despite the ceasefire, people have become alert about air attacks due to the sighting of drones.
