British tourist fell into ditch while trekking in Dharamshala; SDRF team rescued safely

Dharamshala: Yesterday, a British citizen fell into a gorge while trekking at Triund, a famous tourist spot in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. He was seriously injured. Kiran Edward was trekking with his girlfriend. During this, he lost his balance and fell into a gorge more than 20 meters deep.

Kiran Edward’s female friend informed the local administration about this. After this, the SDRF team reached the spot. Under the leadership of DSP Sunil Rana, the SDRF team rescued Edward safely from the ditch. Edward was given first aid in Dharamshala.

Serious head and body injuries

Seeing Edward’s critical condition, the doctors referred him to Tanda Medical College. Edward has suffered serious injuries on his head and body. His condition is expected to improve if he gets timely treatment.

Domestic and foreign tourists reach Triund

Every year hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists visit Triund for trekking. Recently there has been an increase in accidents here. The administration has advised tourists to take the help of trained guides. The local administration is considering increasing the number of warning signs and guides on the trekking route. Safety measures will be further tightened to prevent such accidents in future.
