Central team to visit Himachal today; assess damage caused by cloudburst in disaster affected areas

On Sunday, it will visit the Seraj assembly and the day after tomorrow, Karsog, and assess the damage caused on the night of June 30.

The central team will reach Mandi today to assess the damage caused by the cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh. The central team will visit the disaster-affected areas under the leadership of Joint Secretary of the Union Home Ministry G Parthasarathy. The central team will visit the Dharampur assembly constituency. On Sunday, it will visit the Seraj assembly and the day after tomorrow, Karsog, and assess the damage caused on the night of June 30.

After assessing the damage in these disaster-affected areas of Mandi district, the central team will submit its report to the central government. After this, the Center will release the relief amount. During the Himachal tour, the state government will demand a special package from the central team. Especially, a package will be demanded for the rehabilitation of the disaster-affected people of the Seraj assembly of Mandi district.

Cloudburst at 12 places in Seraj in a single night

In the Seraj assembly, 12 incidents of cloudburst occurred in a single night. Due to this, more than 800 houses have been damaged in Seraj alone, and hundreds of people have become homeless. There has been a lot of damage due to cloudburst in Karsog, Nachan, and Dharampur assembly constituencies. The central team will assess the damage by visiting these disaster-affected areas.

Amit Shah can also come to Himachal

After the central team, Home Minister Amit Shah can also come to Himachal. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu himself said this in a conversation with the media. He told that Amit Shah himself has assured to visit the disaster-affected areas. If Shah comes to Himachal, he can announce a special package for the disaster affected areas.

More damage in these places

Due to a cloudburst in Mandi district, not only have houses been destroyed, but people’s fields, barns, apple orchards, cash crops, roads, paths and bridges have also been destroyed. More damage has occurred in Syathi, Thunag, Karsog, Janjheli, Saraj, Bagsyad etc. of Dharampur.
