Citizens in urban areas will get 9 services at home, Chief Minister launched Citizen Service Portal

Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched two important initiatives of the Urban Development Department, ‘Clean City-Prosperous City’ campaign and the Citizen Services Portal. This portal will provide 9 essential services online to the citizens through citizenseva.hp.gov.in. Of these, 7 services are directly for citizens and 2 services are designed for internal administrative work.

Many other services including trade licenses, property tax management, water and sewerage services, and birth-death certificates will be available online through this portal. Citizens will now be able to avail of these facilities sitting at home, which will not only save time but will also make government processes more transparent and convenient.

To digitally empower waste management in urban areas, every household will be provided with a garbage ID. This will promote digital tracking and cleanliness management.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu described this initiative as an important step towards a digital revolution in Himachal Pradesh. He said that this portal would prove to be a milestone in making civil services more efficient and simplifying urban life. Urban Development Minister Devendra Kumar and Secretary Dr. Neeraj Kumar were also present on the occasion. He expressed his commitment to making this initiative more accessible and effective for the citizens.

The state government is committed to providing better facilities and efficient administration to urban citizens.
