CM Sukhu, Governor Shukla lead Yoga day celebrations in Himachal

Dharanshala, June 21: International Yoga Day was marked with enthusiasm across Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, with participation from citizens, officials, and public representatives. The state-level event was held in Dharamshala, but weather conditions altered the Chief Minister’s travel plans.

CM Sukhu performs Yoga at Oak Over 

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was expected to attend the main program in Dharamshala, but due to bad weather, his helicopter could not take off. Instead, the CM performed yoga at his official residence, Oak Over, in Shimla.

Governor leads yoga session at Raj Bhavan

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla led a yoga session at the Raj Bhavan, joined by his staff and local journalists. The Governor extended greetings to the public on the occasion and encouraged citizens to adopt yoga for a healthier lifestyle.

State-Level program held in Dharamshala

Despite the CM’s absence, the state-level Yoga Day event proceeded at Dharamshala’s sports complex. A large number of locals, officials, and political leaders participated actively in the session.

Yoga Day observed across districts 

Yoga sessions were also organised in schools and public places across all districts of Himachal Pradesh. People from different age groups took part in the day’s events, promoting the message of physical and mental well-being.
