Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has left for Delhi amidst the budget session of the Assembly. CM Sukhu has a meeting fixed with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi today. Chief Minister Sukhu will raise the financial issues of Himachal before the Union Minister in this.
Himachal’s revenue deficit grant will be reduced to Rs 3257 crore next year, it was more than Rs 10 thousand crore in 2020-21. Similarly, the Center has also reduced Himachal’s loan limit from 5 percent to 3 percent.
Instead of 30 thousand crores, 10 thousand crores will be received.
GST compensation has also been stopped since June 2022. The loan received against NPS is also not being received. That is, in 2020-21, Himachal was getting more than 30 thousand crore rupees annually by combining revenue deficit grant, loan, GST compensation and loan received against NPS.
Next year this amount will be less than 10 thousand crores. This is sure to increase the problems of the state. Therefore, CM Sukhu will raise these issues with the Union Minister in Delhi today.
