CM Sukhu sharp attack on Union Minister Nadda, says ‘We are not begging, we are demanding our right’

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu hit back at Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda. He said that the Union Minister should know that Himachal is also a part of the federal structure. “We are not begging from the Center, we are demanding our rights”, said CM Sukhu.

CM Sukhu said, “If the Center is helping, then this money is collected from the public in the form of tax. This collection is done in the form of tax from the people of all the states and this money is given to the state in Revenue Deficit Grant.”

It should be noted that Union Minister JP Nadda had said in Bilaspur few days ago during his 2-day visit to Himachal that if the Center does not give money, then the Himachal government cannot run even for a day. Salary to the employees and pension to the pensioners are given here only after getting Revenue Deficit Grant from Himachal.

CM hit back at Union Minister and BJP National President Nadda in Shimla today and accused him of making such statements for political gain. He said that such things were said for benefit in the Haryana and Jammu Kashmir assembly elections.

He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party spread lies among the public regarding the toilet tax that the former BJP government of Himachal had imposed on hotels in the year 2018. He added that his government did not impose any such tax on the public But lies were spread for benefit in the Haryana and Jammu Kashmir elections.
