Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has succeeded in persuading Dr. Rajesh Sharma, who had shown a rebellious attitude earlier.
At around 1.30 pm, Chief Minister Sukhu reached Dehra to persuade Rajesh Sharma. After some talks, Rajesh Sharma came with the Chief Minister in his car and was seen with him during the nomination of CM’s wife Kamlesh Thakur.
The Chief Minister has removed the displeasure of Dr. Rajesh. If sources are to be believed, Rajesh Sharma may be crowned in some board-corporation soon after the election. Congress is claiming that the election will be fought unitedly in Dehra.
Two days ago, Rajesh Sharma had made serious allegations of threatening and mentally harassing many Congress leaders including Chief Minister Sukhu.
Then he had announced to contest the election as an independent at any cost. He had to file his nomination after 1 pm today. But the Chief Minister has persuaded him before that.
Congress candidate from Dehra seat Kamlesh Thakur has filed her nomination after noon. During this, Chief Minister Sukhu, Congress State President Pratibha Singh and Rajesh Sharma were also present.
Hoshiar also filed nomination
Hoshiar Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party also filed his nomination on Friday. Earlier, BJP demonstrated its strength in Dehra in the presence of former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur and other leaders of the district and BJP leaders launched sharp attacks on the Congress government of the state.
