Delhi tourist found dead at “Sui*cide Point” in Kinnaur, Police begin probe

Kinnaur: The body of a tourist from Delhi was recovered from Rola Dhank in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. The police has taken the body into custody and started investigation. It is not yet clear whether the tourist died due to falling or committed suicide. The police has registered a case and started investigation.

The deceased tourist has been identified as Divesh Maan, a resident of Ashoka Vihar, Delhi. According to the police, Divesh had come to Kinnaur on Thursday evening.

According to taxi driver Phool Singh Chauhan, Divesh Mann had gone to visit Rola Dhank located near Roghi village from Kalpa. This place is also famous in Kinnaur by the name of Suicide Point.

The taxi driver gave information on the helpline number

When Divesh did not return for a long time and the taxi driver could not contact him on phone, he went to the spot and found Divesh fallen in a deep ditch about 150 meters below. After this, Phool Singh informed about the incident to helpline 112.

The body was taken out of the ditch after a lot of effort

Police station in-charge Praveen, ASI Rakesh and NDRF team reached the spot. After several hours of hard work, the body was taken out from the ditch. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Regional Hospital Rikangpio, where the postmortem of the deceased will be done today and the body will be handed over to the family.

The police have also informed the relatives of the deceased. The case is being investigated from various angles by interrogating the taxi driver. Divesh Mann was staying in a private hotel in Kalpa and had come to visit Kinnaur.
