Dharamshala is set to host a major music festival soon, aiming to merge music and culture, similar to renowned international festivals like Tomorrowland and Sunburn. The event will take place at the Dharamshala Police Ground. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recently met with Gurjot Singh, the founder of BeingU and producer of popular shows like the Kapil Sharma Show, to discuss the festival and assure support for its success. He shared his backing for the event on his official X account, emphasizing that such festivals could significantly enhance the local economy by drawing in numerous tourists.

Gurjot Singh informed the Chief Minister that the annual festival will be organized in partnership with the well-known Warner Music. The event aims to combine global music, sustainability, wellness, and the rich cultural heritage of the region, featuring world-class performances, environmental workshops, retreats, and cultural exhibitions. Also present during this meeting was Gokul Butail, Principal Advisor (Innovation, Digital Technology & Governance) to the Chief Minister.
In addition, the audience is eagerly anticipating the upcoming edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival. The event will kick off its 13th edition from November 7-10, showcasing Payal Kapadia’s award-winning film “All We Imagine As Light.” The film tells the story of Prabha, a troubled nurse receiving an unexpected gift from her estranged husband, and Anu, her young roommate who seeks intimacy with her boyfriend. Their subsequent trip to a beach town leads them to confront their desires. Starring Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Hridhu Haroon, all from Kerala, the film recently won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.
