Himachal Pradesh: In this state it is very difficult to collect the property tax for the municipal corporation . Even after issuing notice many times they are not paying the bills. Municipal Corporation has prepared the list of these defaulters. As soon as Model Code of Conduct will remove, action will be taken against them. Around 250 staff of Municipal went on election duty.
In the list of defaulters there are people where lakhs of property tax need to be collected. Several times notices has been sent to these people, still they are not paying the property tax.
As the MCC removed, last notice will be send to these defaulters, if they will not pay the bills within that time. Lastly, water and electricity connection would be cut. Besides this, their business activities will also be stopped.
On the May 25, Municipal Corporation have a meeting and discuss about the issue, also gather information from Wards minister about the commercial activities. immediately MC team will take the action against them. Corporation officer will also be present in the meeting.
ISBT is the huge defaulter in the list, approximately 7.5 crores need to be recover from them.
