Hamirpur: The notification to convert Hamirpur Municipal Council of Himachal Pradesh into a Municipal Corporation has been issued. Now Hamirpur Municipal Council will be considered as Municipal Corporation. 94 villages have been included in it. Now there is a no-confidence meeting on 26th December.
In this notification issued quoting Principal Secretary of Urban Development Devesh Kumar, it has been said that now Hamirpur will be Municipal Corporation, the name of Municipal Council has ended as soon as it is published in the gazette (e-gazette).
About 18 wards will be made in Hamirpur Municipal Corporation. For this a separate notification will be issued. Under this, delimitation will be done. That is, there were 11 wards of this Municipal Council, which will now increase to about 18. That is, the political environment will now be included in the new environment.
The no-confidence meeting of the current Municipal Council will be held on 26th December itself. Its time has been fixed at 4 pm instead of 11 am. On the other hand, sources say that one party has also gone to the High Court and the hearing on it is scheduled for the 26th.
