Hamirpur: A student has committed suicide by hanging himself in NIT institute located in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. The deceased student was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police has taken the body of the deceased into custody and started further action.
The deceased has been identified as Ayan Sharma, district Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Ayan was pursuing dual degree in electronics from NIT Hamirpur and was a fifth semester student. The police is trying to find out the reason why Ayan committed suicide.
The police have also found a suicide note from the spot. SP Hamirpur Shyam Bhagat Negi has confirmed this. He said that the reason for the spot cannot be disclosed until the suicide note is investigated.
No one was held responsible in the suicide note
Police sources say that Ayan did not blame anyone for his death in the suicide note. The police got information about Ayan’s suicide at around 9 am. Ayan lived on the fifth floor of the institute’s hostel.
Postmortem will be done after the arrival of the family members
The police have informed Ayan’s family. The postmortem will be conducted after their arrival. The police have called the FSL team to the spot.
