Shimla, June 22: Heavy rain is forecast in 5 districts of Himachal Pradesh today. Meteorological Center Shimla has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla and Solan districts. Similarly, a yellow alert has been issued in Solan, Kullu, Chamba, Una and Bilaspur districts.
In view of this, tourists along with local people have been advised to stay away from waterlogged areas, landslide prone areas and not to go near rivers and streams. After heavy rains, the water level of rivers may suddenly rise. Landslide incidents may occur.
Alert in Una and Kangra tomorrow
An orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Una and Kangra tomorrow i.e. on June 23. A yellow alert has been issued in Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Chamba, Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts. The Western Disturbance will weaken a bit in the state on June 24. Light rain is forecast in some areas on this day.
Heavy rain warning on 25 June
Rain orange alert has been issued for all districts except Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur for June 25.
Monsoon will cover the entire state by tomorrow
Monsoon has entered many parts of Himachal two days ago. If the speed of monsoon remains good then it can reach the entire state by tomorrow.
