Shimla, May 15: In the 10th class results declared by Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPSEB), Saina Thakur of Neugal Model Public Senior Secondary School, Bhavarna, Kangra, secured first place in the state by scoring 99.46 per cent marks. This time the result of 10th in the state was 79.08 per cent, which is better than last year.
117 students have made it to the top 10. These include 88 girls and 29 boys. Similarly, in the top 10, there are only 20 students from government schools and 97 students from private schools.
13574 children failed
DC Kangra and Education Board Chairman Hemraj Bairwa said 95 thousand 495 students appeared in the 10th class examination this time. Out of these, 75 thousand 862 students passed, while 13 thousand 574 students failed.
48946 boys appeared in this exam. Out of these, 38002 boys passed, while out of 46122 girl students, 37860 girls passed the exam. 5563 students got compartment in this exam. The education board will give them an opportunity to pass the paper.
There has been an improvement of 5.19% in the result as compared to last year
Last year, the result of the exam in Himachal was 74.61%. In this respect, there has been an improvement of 5.19% this time. This time 2 thousand 300 examination centres were made across the state for the 10th exam.

Along with the declaration of the result, students will also be able to download their certificate from Digi Locker. Earlier, students had to wait for several days even after the result was declared for the certificate.
