Himachal Assembly Session starts tomorrow, inclusion of zero hour for first time

Shimla: For the first time, there will be zero hour in the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly starting tomorrow. Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said in a press conference held at Tapovan Dharamshala that MLAs will be able to raise issues related to the public in zero hour from 12 to 12.30 pm.

He said that the Assembly Secretariat will have to be informed about the questions to be asked one and a half hour before the session starts. An MLA will be able to ask a maximum of 2 questions in zero hours. Each member will get 4 to 5 minutes. The answer to the question asked will be taken by the minister of the concerned department.

The Assembly Speaker had given the arrangement to start zero hour during the monsoon session. There will be zero hour after one hour of question hour every day. After this, on the lines of Lok Sabha, MLAs will be able to raise issues related to their area in Himachal Assembly as well.

The proceedings of Himachal Assembly start at 11 am. Under the new system, question hour will run from 11 to 12. There will be zero hour from 12 to 12.30 pm. After this, the second business proceedings of the assembly will be brought in the house.

Let us tell you that there were many issues that the MLAs wanted to raise in the house. But were unable to do so. Seeing the need, zero hour is being started for the first time. This will be the first time in the history of Himachal Assembly when zero hour will be started.
