Himachal CM Sukhu presented Rs 58444 croreProposed Budget, New Pay Scale From 1st March, Along With Arrears DA From April 1st

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu presented the second budget of his government today. In this budget many announcements has been made for different sections. CM Sukhu read the 88-page budget speech in 2 hours 32 minutes. He proposed a budget of Rs 58444 crore for the upcoming financial year.

The Chief Minister announced that the payment of pending arrears of the new pay scale of all employees and pensioners from January 2016 will start in a phased manner from March 1, 2024. Two and a half lakh employees and one and a half lakh pensioners of the state have outstanding arrears of about Rs 11 crore towards the new pay scale with the government.

Along with the arrears, the Chief Minister also announced in this budget to release the instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) at the rate of 4 percent from April 1, 2024. He announced to increase MLA fund from Rs 2.10 crore to Rs 2.20 crore and MLA discretionary fund from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.

The Chief Minister announced to increase the pension of Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 for ex-servicemen above 60 years of age who do not get any other pension.

Anganwadi Workers Honorarium Increased

Chief Minister Sukhu announced an increase in the honorarium of Anganwadi workers by giving them an honorarium of Rs 10,000, Rs 7000 for mini Anganwadi workers, Rs 5500 for Anganwadi assistants, Rs 5500 for Asha workers, Rs 4500 for mid-day meal workers, Rs 5000 for water carriers of the education department, and Rs 5000 for water guards. 5300, soon announced to give honorarium to multi-purpose workers of Shakti Department 5000, Para fitter-operator 6300, Panchayat Chowkidar 8000, Revenue Chowkidar 5800, Numberdar 4200.

5 Crore To Olympic Medal Winner

Chief Minister Sukhu made many big announcements in this budget along with a new sports policy to promote sports. He announced to increase the amount of Rs 3 crore to Rs 5 crore given to the players who win gold medal in the Olympic Games. Announcement to increase the amount of Rs 2 crore to silver medal winner to Rs 3 crore and to give Rs 2 crore to bronze medal winner instead of Rs 1.

Now it has been announced that for winning gold in the Asian Games, Rs 4 crore will be given instead of Rs 50 lakh, for silver medal it will be Rs 2.50 crore instead of Rs 30 lakh, for bronze medal it will be Rs 1.50 crore instead of Rs 30 lakh. At the same time, in the Commonwealth Games, it was announced that the amount of Rs 50 lakh for winning gold will be increased to Rs 3 crore, for winning silver, the amount of Rs 30 lakh will be increased to Rs 2 crore and for winning bronze, the amount of Rs 20 lakh will be increased to Rs 1 crore.

players Diet money increased

Players in Himachal Pradesh had been demanding increase in diet money for many years. Chief Minister Sukhu increased the diet money of players in primary school sports to Rs 250, higher and secondary level players to Rs 400 per day, players participating in inter-university and national games to Rs 500 per day, diet money of players living in hostels to Rs 500 per day. Announced increase from Rs 250 to Rs 400.

Police Personnel Diet Money Increased Rs1000

Chief Minister Sukhu announced to increase the diet money of police personnel from Rs 210 to Rs 1000 per month. He said that 825 km long roads will be built under PMGSY. This year, 3578 out of 3615 panchayats have been connected with road facilities.

Diesel buses will convert into electric

327 diesel buses of HRTC will be converted into electric buses in the state. Diesel vehicles of Forest Department, HRTC and GAD will also be converted into electric. He said that 3.2 km length ropeway will be constructed in Bijli Mahadev. Announced to fill 100 posts of forest guards in the forest department and to deploy Van Mitra in all forest beats.

93 eco tourism sites will be outsourced

The Chief Minister said that 93 sites will be outsourced to promote eco-tourism in the state. He will request the Government of India to lay a railway line from Kalka to Parwanoo. E-charging station facility will start at 17 petrol pumps during 2024-25. E-charging stations will also start in 55 other government areas. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Scheme, 10 thousand permits will be given to run e-taxi at 40 percent subsidy.

4 lakh for women to start startup

Women will be provided assistance up to Rs 4 lakh to start startups. Announced exemption in payment of increased electricity duty. In all the municipal corporations of the state, financial assistance will be provided to economically weaker persons, whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh, to build houses.

Will give 3 lakhs to widows to build houses

Widows will be given Rs 3 lakh to build houses. For this, their income should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh annually. He announced Maharishi Valmiki Kamgar Yojana for the construction of houses for the workers of Valmiki Samaj. Under this, such employees of Valmiki Samaj, whose annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh and do not have their own house, will be given financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh.

Increase in daily wage of MNREGA workers by Rs 60

The Chief Minister announced to increase the daily wage of MNREGA workers from Rs 240 to Rs 300. It was increased by Rs 60. There are more than 12 lakh MNREGA job cardholders in Himachal. CM has called it a historic increase. MNREGA workers whose annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh and have worked in MNREGA for 100 days in a year will be given Rs 3 lakh to build a house.

Free medical treatment for senior citizens

Announcement of Chief Minister Sukh Arogya Yojana. Free medical facilities will be provided to farmers and elderly people above 70 years of age. Old people who do not pay income tax will also get free treatment. Announcement of Chief Minister Sukh Shiksha Yojana. Under this, the government will bear the entire expense of the education of children up to 27 years of age of all widows, whose family income is less than one lakh. They will be given various professional courses. The government will deposit Rs 1000 in RD in the account of widows’ children below 18 years of age.

Centre of Excellence built in Kandaghat

Announcement of Center of Excellence in Kandaghat for higher education of disabled people. Various facilities like residential facilities and sports grounds will be provided in it. Padho campaign will start in the state. Under this campaign, reading rooms will be built in 500 institutions. Announcement to build a modern library at the Panchayat level. In areas where there are no primary schools within a radius of 3 kilometers, arrangements for dropping children home will be made by the government. A period for sports and exercise will be mandatory in all schools. This will promote sports.
