Himachal: Doctors remove 33 coins from man’s stomach in Ghumarwin

Ghumarwin: Doctors in a private hospital in Ghumarwin city have removed 33 coins of 300 rupees from the stomach of a 33-year-old mentally ill youth through surgery. The weight of these coins was found to be 247 grams. The family members brought the youth to the hospital on January 31 after he complained of stomach pain.

The doctors conducted several tests on the patient, but could not find the exact cause of the stomach pain. After that, an endoscopy was done, which revealed that a large number of coins were deposited in the youth’s stomach.

After this, the operation was conducted under the leadership of doctor Ankush. During the operation, 33 coins of two, ten and twenty rupees were found and removed from the stomach.

Dr. Ankush said that this was a challenging case. The coins were spread in the patient’s stomach. The condition of the coins was detected with the help of CR in the operation theater and the coins were removed after a three-hour operation. Dr. Ankush said that the youth is suffering from a mental disease called schizophrenia. In this, the person loses touch with reality. The victim behaves abnormally in a state of confusion.

Dr said that coins have been removed from the patient’s stomach and now he is out of danger.
