Himachal: Documents will be checked in two phases for pre-primary teacher recruitment

Under the pre-primary teacher recruitment, the documents of the candidates will be checked in two phases. In the first phase, the company conducting the interview will check the diploma and other certificates. In the second round, the education department will check the certificates and other documents at its own level. After receiving complaints of some fake documents and diplomas of unrecognized institutions during the interview, it has now been decided to conduct an investigation at two levels. The education department will take the final decision regarding the recruitment of 6297 posts.

More than 20 thousand applicants arrived across the state to give interviews. Interviews are being conducted through 14 private companies. Before giving appointments to 6297 pre-primary teachers, their Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) diplomas will be checked. The Directorate of Education has decided to conduct an investigation into the suspicion of NTT diplomas being fake. Complaints have been received from many districts about showing fake diplomas during the interview process going on in the state these days.

Due to this, the Directorate of School Education has issued orders to the district officials to check the NTT diplomas before giving appointments. The Directorate of Education has asked the private companies conducting the interview to check all the documents properly. The Directorate has clearly stated that if anyone is given a job on the basis of a fake diploma, then it will be recommended to blacklist the concerned company. Departmental officials said that before giving appointment to the selected teachers, their educational qualification and diploma recognized by NCTE will be checked. For this, committees will be formed under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director of Education at the district level.

NCTE guidelines will be valid in pre-primary teacher recruitment. For this, a two-year NTT diploma from an NCTE-recognized institute has been made mandatory. The government has given the designation of Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor to the teachers to be recruited in schools with nursery and KG classes. Himachalis aged 21 to 45 years who have scored 50 percent marks in class XII will be eligible for recruitment. The Director of School Education will determine the vacancies school-wise. A monthly remuneration of Rs 10,000 has been fixed, including taxes and service provider fees. This includes agency charges, GST, other expenses.
