Entry of vehicles from outside states in Himachal will become expensive from April 1. The toll barrier fee will increase by Rs 10 on private vehicles and Rs 20 on other vehicles. For the financial year 2025-26, the 24-hour entry fee at toll barriers has been increased. Private drivers will have to pay Rs 70 instead of Rs 60.
Heavy cargo vehicles will now have to pay Rs 570 instead of Rs 550. Passenger vehicles with 6 to 12 seats will have to pay Rs 110 and vehicles with more than 12 seats will have to pay Rs 180. The Tax and Excise Department has fixed the entry fee rates for 55 toll barriers under the state. In the category of cargo vehicles, vehicles weighing 250 quintals or more will now have to pay a fee of Rs 720 to enter the state.
This fee will be collected from these vehicles registered in Himachal along with heavy cargo vehicles with numbers of outside states. The cargo vehicles of the state have not been exempted from entry fee. Quarterly and annual passes will be made on the basis of the entry fee fixed for the financial year 2025-26. Heavy goods vehicles weighing 120 to 250 quintals will now be charged Rs 570, vehicles weighing 90 to 120 quintals will be charged Rs 320, vehicles weighing 20 to 90 quintals will be charged Rs 170, small goods vehicles weighing less than 20 quintals will be charged Rs 130 and tractors, private or public, will be charged Rs 70.
