Bilaspur: The Himachal government on Monday changed the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bilaspur district. The government has appointed 2016 batch IPS officer Sandeep Kumar Dhawal as the new SP of Bilaspur. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has issued orders in this regard. At the same time, the government’s orders are still pending regarding the appointment of Bilaspur SP Vivek.
The state government has given a one-year extension to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Naresh Sharma posted in Himurja. Naresh Sharma will now retire on March 31, 2025, and will serve as OSD till then.
However, in the Executive Council meeting of Himurja held on 29 February, it was decided not to give extensions to anyone. Despite this, Naresh Sharma has been given an extension.
The Congress government is also giving extensions to its favourite officers on the lines of the former Jairam government. The government’s focus should be on new employment. But here extensions are being given to retired officers. Due to this, the unemployed youth of the state feel cheated.
