Himachal Police recruitment in trouble again, High Court demands CBI probe

Himachal Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment is once again embroiled in controversy. Candidates have demanded a CBI inquiry from the Himachal Pradesh High Court. It is alleged that during the police constable examination, question papers were sold for Rs 4-4 lakh, which has raised questions on the transparency of the entire recruitment process. Even during the tenure of the former BJP government, there were allegations of irregularities in police recruitment and cases of question paper leak and rigging came to the fore.

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued notices to the state government, Public Service Commission and CBI in the alleged rigging case in the police recruitment examination. The court has asked the respondents to respond within four weeks. The applicants have demanded a CBI inquiry by cancelling the examination. The applicants have alleged that there have been reports of paper leak even before the police recruitment examination.

Kangra Police has also arrested some people in this case. The scoundrels had cheated the candidates of money by luring them to pass the written examination of police recruitment. A similar case had also come to light from Kangra district. Here people were duped in the name of helping them pass the written exam for police recruitment, for which Palampur police had detained 7 people for questioning and an FIR has also been registered.
