Himachal Pradesh: In Himachal Pradesh, now policemen will not be able to make reels wearing uniform nor will they be able to share any video or photo on social media in uniform.
Himachal Police Department has banned it. If anyone still disobeys the orders, strict action will be taken against them. This order has been issued to the police personnel by DGP Doctor Atul Verma.
The orders read that ‘It has been observed that some police officers/personnel in uniform are posting/uploading such pictures, videos, reels or stories on social media platforms which are not related to police duties. This conduct is against the rules and norms of the police department and the content, which is not related to official police work, can adversely affect the reputation of the department. Police uniform is a symbol of commitment, dedication and accountability towards the public.
As such, it is important that its use in any public or digital platform reflects these values. Content that is not related to official police work can adversely affect the reputation of the department.
