Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Preside Over The Cabinet Meeting

Due to the ill health of Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the cabinet meeting has been postponed for two days. Now the cabinet meeting will be held on February 15. Earlier this meeting was to start at 11 am today in the state secretariat. But Chief Minister Sukhu has been suffering from viral infection for four days. Due to this, he is not even coming to the secretariat and is recuperating at the government residence Oak Over.

At the same time, two ministers Jagat Negi and Rohit Thakur are also on a foreign tour. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri also has a private program at his home. Given this, the cabinet meeting has been postponed. The date of the budget session will be decided in this. The budget speech of the Governor will also be discussed in the cabinet and it will be finalized. The budget session is likely to start from March 10, which can go on till April 10. But the final seal on it will be put in the cabinet.

In the cabinet to be held after two days, there can also be a discussion about the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has already hinted at this in a conversation with the media two days ago. Congress has reinstated the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) as soon as it formed the government in the state.

The Centre is pressuring to implement UPS

Now the Central Government is repeatedly pressuring the state to implement UPS. But the state employees are opposing UPS. This has put the Congress government in a dilemma. If the state government does not implement UPS, then the state will not get the additional facility of 1600 crore loan, which has been taken away after reinstating OPS in the state.

Discussion on outsourced recruitment is also possible

There can also be a discussion on outsourced recruitment in the cabinet, because earlier the High Court had banned outsourced recruitment. But the state government has got relief from the Supreme Court. In today’s meeting, the government can also take a decision regarding recruitment in various departments.
