It is noteworthy that every year Himachal Pradesh School Education Board provides free books to the children of class 1st to 8th under the scheme of the state government. For this, the printing work also starts in the middle of the ongoing academic session. During this period, if syllabus has to be removed or added from any subject, then the board issues a notification regarding that. The consignment of free books for the academic session 2025-26 has reached the schools of Himachal Pradesh, while schools affiliated to the board can also take books from the book center of the board.
