Himachal: Three arrested with 125 kg dynamite and two boxes of detonators from a car in Tyuni

Before the Panchayat elections in the neighboring state of Uttarakhand, 125 kg of dynamite kept in five boxes and two boxes of detonators were recovered from an Alto car with a Himachal number in Tyuni near the Himachal border. The police investigation team has arrested three youths.

In view of the start of Panchayat elections in Uttarakhand, Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun has asked all the station in-charges to conduct the election process in a fair manner and to be alert on illegal activities by banning all activities like luring people to vote in their favor.

On this, the police is continuously running an intensive checking campaign.

During checking at the check post by the Tyuni police station, five boxes of dynamite weighing 125 kg, 2 boxes of cap (detonator), one roll of red wire and a bundle of sky blue light were recovered from an Alto car. The car passengers Rohit (19) resident of Ronhat district Sirmaur, Rinku (37) resident of Balag district Shimla and Sunil (38) resident of Sadoli Kotkhai Himachal Pradesh were asked to produce necessary documents regarding transportation of explosives, but they could not show any documents.

The police investigation team of the in-charge of Police station Tyuni has arrested the three youths travelling in the vehicle. In-charge of Police station Tyuni, Uttarakhand, Vinay Mittal said that a case has been registered against the arrested Rinku, Rohit, and Sunil under various section,s including the Explosives Act-1884.
