Police have arrested two people from Jawali on charges of duping the youth in the name of helping them pass the police constable recruitment exam. After interrogating the candidates on the spot, Kangra Police has registered a case against Vikram and Balwinder alias Sonu Jaryal at Palampur police station. Investigation so far has revealed that the accused were trying to mislead the candidates appearing for the written examination by using other youths as pawns.
The involvement of both the accused was also revealed in the police recruitment exam paper leak case in the year 2022 and the use of illegal Bluetooth device in the year 2019. Earlier, the police have interrogated seven people on the basis of suspicion regarding the case. On Sunday, the police detained four youths from a center set up in Palampur during the written examination and interrogated them about the matter. The youths were released after no evidence was found.
SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said that information was received from police intelligence sources that some people are cheating and extorting money in the name of helping people pass the written exam for police recruitment. A case has been registered against two accused and they have been arrested.
