Himachal weather alert: Orange warning for rain-hailstorm in 8 districts

Shimla, May 23: The weather will be bad in Himachal today (24 May). There is a possibility of rain in most parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for hailstorms and storms in 8 districts. This warning is for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts.

In these districts, the storm can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour. A yellow alert has been issued in the other four districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain bad in the state till May 29. A yellow alert warning has been issued in all 12 districts for the next 72 hours from tomorrow.

Western disturbance will be more active between 27 and 29 May. Due to this, thunderstorms can occur along with rain in most parts. Lightning can also occur in some parts. Due to this, the temperature of most cities will decrease by 2 to 3 degrees.

The rise in temperature during the last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, the temperature of many cities has increased. After this, the maximum temperature of 8 cities has crossed 35 degrees Celsius.

The temperature of Una increased by 3.4 degrees in 24 hours to 38.8 degrees, Hamirpur increased by 2 degrees to 38.6 degrees and Nairi increased by 1.3 degrees to 38.5 degrees Celsius.

Dharamsala’s minimum temperature rises by 7 degrees

At the same time, the minimum temperature of most cities has also recorded a rise of 2 to 4 degrees during the last 24 hours.

The minimum temperature of Dharamsala has increased by 6.8 degrees to 19.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature of Una has also increased by 3.1 degrees to 20.5 degrees, Solan has increased by 2.7 degrees to 18.2 degrees, Mandi has increased by 2.7 degrees to 21.3 degrees and Chamba has increased by 2.8 degrees to 18.5 degrees Celsius.
