Roads and electricity and water supply have been disrupted in many areas of Himachal Pradesh due to cloudburst and landslides. Till 10:00 am on Wednesday, 282 roads remained closed for movement. 1361 electricity transformers and 639 water supply schemes are disrupted. Movement was disrupted on the most number of roads in Mandi district (182), Kullu (37), Shimla (33) and Sirmaur district (12).

On the other hand, 51 people have died from 20 June to 1 July due to cloudburst, flood and landslides during the monsoon season. 103 have been injured and 22 are missing. Now a loss of Rs 28,339.81 lakh has been incurred. 18 people have lost their lives in the entire state including 16 people in Mandi due to cloudburst on Monday night. 33 people are still missing.

Dozens of people have been injured. 332 people have been rescued from various places and their lives have been saved. In Mandi district alone, 24 houses and 12 Gaushalas have been razed to the ground. 30 animals have died. The Patikari project near Kuklah has been washed away. Many bridges have collapsed. SDRF and NDRF teams are conducting operations to search for the missing people.

During the last 24 hours, 55.0 mm of rain was recorded in Kasauli, 54.8 mm in Baggi, 38.8 mm in Dharampur, 36.8 mm in Mandi, 32.0 mm in Sarahan, 27.4 mm in Solan, 27.0 mm in Pandoh, 26.2 mm in Jubbarhatti, 25.2 mm in Shimla, 22.8 mm in Sundarnagar, 21.0 mm in Kandaghat, 17.4 mm in Bharari and 16.0 mm in Kufri.

According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, there is an alert of heavy rain for a week continuously in many parts of the state. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in many parts from 2 to 4 and 8 July. While an orange alert has been issued for 5 to 7 July.

According to the department, light to moderate rain is expected at most places on 3, 6, 7 July and 8 July. There is a possibility of rain at many places in the state on 2, 4, 5 and 8 July. At the same time, there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature in many parts of the state during the next 24 hours. After this, there is a possibility of an increase of 2-4 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature in many parts of the state during the next 3-4 days.

There is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature of the state during the next 4-5 days. There is a possibility of low to moderate level flooding in some catchment areas and neighborhoods of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla districts of the state during the next 24 hours.
