The weather will remain bad for five days in most areas of Himachal. Due to the Western Disturbance being active in the state, there is a forecast of good rain this week. Meanwhile, the Orange Alert of the Meteorological Department (IMD) has increased the concern of farmers and gardeners.
According to IMD, heavy hailstorms may occur at some places in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla and Lahaul Spiti districts on 18 and 19 April. A warning has also been issued of storms blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers in these districts.
Yellow alert warning has been issued in all other districts. Hailstorms and storms may cause damage to mango, plum, apricot, peach, cauliflower, peas and wheat crops including apple gardeners.
An Orange Alert of heavy rain has been issued in Chamba, Kangra and Kullu districts on 18 and 19 April. A warning has been issued of heavy rain at some places in Mandi district on 19 April.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi districts even today. The weather is forecast to remain clear in other districts. The weather will remain bad in the state till April 21.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the state will decrease by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius during the next two-three days. Especially from 18 to 20 April, the temperature will fall below normal. The temperature will start increasing from 21 April.
At the same time, the temperature in most of the cities of the state is still above normal. The maximum temperature of Keylong is 9.5 degrees Celsius, 6.5 degrees more than normal. The temperature of Kalpa is 21.9 degrees, 4.6 degrees more, Una’s mercury is 37.6 degrees, 3.4 degrees more, Manali has reached 24.2 degrees, 3.0 degrees more than normal.
