Himachal will have to wait more for snowfall, dry spell will last for 1 week

A dry spell is going on in Himachal Pradesh. While 97 percent less rainfall was recorded in the month of October, 99 percent less rainfall was seen in November. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Center Shimla has released the data for the last 124 years. In this data, it can be seen how the month of November has remained dry for many years. However, now the month of December has also started but there is no possibility of rain as of now. In such a situation, dry spell is likely to remain in the state for the next week.

Scientist Shobhit Katiyar of Meteorological Center Shimla said that this year 99 percent less rainfall has been recorded in the month of November. Only 0.2 mm of rain has been seen in the month of November, whereas normal rainfall is recorded at 19.7 mm.

Meteorologist Shobhit Katiyar further said that in the last 124 years, there have been 17 years in Himachal Pradesh, when no rain was recorded in the entire month of November. At the same time, there has been one year in which 0.1 mm of rain was recorded. Apart from this, there have been 6 years in which 0.2 mm i.e. 99% less rain was recorded, which also includes the year 2024.
