HP CM leaves for Delhi, to invite high command for program in Bilaspur; meeting likely for PCC

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has left for Delhi. He will invite Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi to Himachal for the program organized in Bilaspur, the hometown of BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

During this, CM Sukhu can also meet Congress State Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla. This has heated up the politics of the state, because the new executive committee (PCC) of Congress is to be formed in the state. Before the CM, Congress State President Pratibha Singh has returned to Shimla after meeting Rajiv Shukla in Delhi.

Pratibha Singh has lobbied for the coronation of her supporters in the organization. Now CM Sukhu can meet the top leaders of the party in Delhi regarding the new executive. He can lobby for the coronation of his supporters on key posts in the organization.

Especially for the organization general secretary and treasurer, he can put the name of his supporter before the party high command.

Party sources say that CM Sukhu can put forward the name of Prem Kaushal for the post of Organization General Secretary or he can also give consent to the name of the current Organization General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta. Pratibha Singh has also met Rajiv Shukla and discussed the coronation of the leaders of her faction.

Congress National President Kharge has dissolved the state, district and block executive of Congress in Himachal last month. Now only the state president Pratiksha Singh is left as the sole officer in the state Congress. Hence a new executive has to be formed. This work has to be done by the party high command after discussion with the state Congress leaders.
