HRTC bus overturned in Solan: 15 injured, Major tragedy averted as vehicle avoids plunge into gorge

Solan,May 16: A government bus overturned in Solan, Himachal Pradesh this morning. More than 15 passengers are reported to be injured in the accident. All the injured were taken to Arki Hospital with the help of ambulances and vehicles of local people, where they are undergoing treatment. The condition of all the injured is said to be out of danger.

According to preliminary information, the pressure pipe of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus number HP-03B-6202 burst while going from Sheelghat to Shimla in Arki of Solan district. After this, as soon as the driver applied the brakes, the bus overturned on the Saryans-Piplughat road.

More than 15 passengers are reported to be injured in this accident. The bus conductor, Hiralal, said that the accident happened due to the bursting of the pressure pipe of the vehicle. He said that as soon as the driver applied the brakes, the bus hit the hill and overturned. At the time of the accident, there were 25 to 30 passengers in the bus. Many school children are also among the injured.

If it had overturned on the road, it would have been a major accident

It was a blessing that the bus did not fall off the road. If the bus had overturned off the road, it would have fallen into a ditch several meters deep. This would have caused great loss of life and property. There was a lot of shouting and screaming at the spot for some time at the time of the accident.

The local administration and police have reached the spot, and further action is being taken. The injured are being treated at Arki Hospital. Most of the passengers have suffered head, mouth and arm injuries.
