Strict action on burning and spreading garbage in open

Shimla: In Himachal Pradesh, the administration will take strict action against those who burn and spread garbage in the open in the urban bodies of the state. Urban Development Department Director Gopal Chand has issued instructions to the officials of urban bodies in this regard. A two-day review meeting on the Swachh Bharat Mission was organized in the Directorate of Urban Development Department. The review meeting was chaired by Urban Development Department Director Gopal Chand. On this occasion, additional directors of the Urban Development Department, Jagan Thakur, Mayank Verma, and Pradeep Verma, were also specially present.

Officers and employees of 60 urban bodies across the state participated in the meeting. In the review meeting of the Swachh Bharat Mission, Urban Development Department Director Gopal Chand instructed the officials of urban bodies to take strict action against those who spread garbage in the open.

A fine of five thousand to 25 thousand rupees will be imposed for burning and throwing garbage in the open. Centenary Inspectors, Inspectors, and EOs of urban bodies can take action in this regard. Apart from this, door-to-door collection of wet and dry garbage and disposal of garbage were discussed. Apart from this, instructions were given to the officials of urban bodies to maintain cleanliness in public toilets.

In the two-day review meeting on the Swachh Bharat Mission, instructions were issued to the officials of urban bodies to take strict action against those who put up hoardings and posters in public places.

On the other hand, the Director of the Urban Development Department, Gopal Chand, says that important guidelines have been issued to the officials regarding the cleanliness system in the urban bodies of the state.

In the two-day review meeting, strict action will be taken against those who burn garbage in the open and spread garbage in the open.
