Devotee from UP who went on Shrikhand Yatra dies

Nirmand: In Nirmand, a person who had gone on a pilgrimage to Shrikhand Mahadev, one of the most difficult religious pilgrimages in the country, died after slipping. The deceased was a resident of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. With the help of local people and the police team, the body was taken out of the ditch, and now the body is being rescued and brought to Nirmand Hospital. After completing the post-mortem process, the body will be handed over to the family.

The police administration has urged the people that the pilgrimage to Shrikhand Mahadev has not officially started yet. In such a situation, they should not take the risk of going on the pilgrimage at all.

According to the information received, the brother of the deceased person, Sandeep Verma, said that his brother Vinay Verma, age 50, from village Gulati, district Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, was going on a pilgrimage near Shrikhand on June 19, when suddenly his foot slipped on the snow and he fell. In such a situation, he informed other people about this, but by then his brother had died.

DSP Aani Chandrashekhar Kayath said that the official pilgrimage to Shrikhand Mahadev has not started yet, and three people have died so far. In such a situation, further action is being taken by the police in this matter. He also urged other devotees to visit Shrikhand Mahadev only when the official pilgrimage begins.
