Kingpin Drug smuggler from Punjab arrested by Dharamshala Police

Dharamshala: Dharamshala police have arrested the main kingpin Maninder alias Langra Ram and his driver Rakesh Kumar who used to supply chitta from Tarn Taran in Punjab to Himachal. This action was taken on the information given by the three youths arrested earlier.

Earlier, the police had arrested Shashank Bisht of Dehradun, Ayush Soni of Dharamshala and Shevtang Shahi with 30 grams of heroin. During interrogation, these three revealed that they used to buy banned drugs from Langra Ram from Hoshiarpur.

According to Kangra SSP Shalini Agnihotri, five interstate drug dealers have been arrested so far. Police have taken three-day remand of Shashank Bisht and two-day remand of Ayush Soni and Shevtang. SSP said that this campaign against the drug mafia will continue further.

The main kingpin Maninder is a resident of Bamnipal village in Tarn Taran, while his driver Rakesh Kumar is a resident of Gandhi Camp in Jalandhar. This police action is expected to curb drug trafficking in the area.
