A girl died after consuming a poisonous substance in Sarwal village of Gram Panchayat Dhaniyara of Kotli subdivision of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Suman (20), daughter of Dilip Singh.
Suman’s father, Dilip Singh, is employed in the Indian Tibet Border Force. It is being said that Suman was engaged 14 days ago. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the whole family and today she died after consuming poisonous substance.
The girl’s father, Dilip Singh had also come home these days due to the engagement of his daughter. The whole family was also very happy with this engagement. A day before, the family members had worked together to plant paddy in the fields.
On Sunday, as soon as the daughter’s health deteriorated, she was brought to the Zonal Hospital. She died during treatment here. On receiving the information, Sadar police station in-charge Desh Raj reached the spot.
He has taken the body into custody. After the post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the family. He said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been started.
